Cross Site Lookup

Would it be possible to add and Url string within the properties to specify a web url where the lookup list are stored.

It would be good to lo have a lookup not only in the own website. With adding a url to another website, all list of a sharepoint collection could be used.

Hi Markus,

make a site column on the root site. Then you can use the site column in all sub webs.

Ok i think i did not asked detailed enough:

I have a WebA and a WebB which a sibing (http://localhost/weba and http://localhost/webb).

In WebA i have a ListA and in WebB a ListB.

Now i want to add a iLovesharepoint Lookup Field with Picker in ListA with should reference to ListB.

But only list from WebA are shown, so it would be great to have a url to define the web where to lookup for lists.

Then the http://localhost/webb could be entered and ListB should be in the combobox for possible lookup list.

With kind regards

Hi Markus,

if a site column does not work for you, you have to wait for the next version.
Unfortunately I'm not sure when this will be.
Thanks for your feedback.
